GENDER EQUALITY

As we all know, gender inequality is *still* alive and kicking. Last year, the WEF projected that it will take 208 years to achieve equality in the US. 

Inequality is something we can see across the board, from female founders and C-suite executives to lower-level employees. Only 6 % of US Fortune 500 companies have a female CEO.  

FEMALE FOUNDERS

As for female founders, in 2019, only 2.7% of venture capital was invested in female founders and all-female teams (while 85% of funding went to all-male teams).

Built By Women aims to be a resource to inspire all womxn by sharing the stories of female founders.
